Caatalyst began life in 2003 and since then we have worked with more than 30 well-known UK and European organisations ranging from FTSE 30 energy groups to airlines, car manufactures, retailers, leisure groups and public sector bodies. Our audit programme has been proven to work across all industry types and we are able to adapt quickly to new finance systems and business models.

Caatalyst are always refining and extending the profit recovery model. Our aim is always to find new ways of recovering money for our Clients, either by developing new data tests or looking at new areas of our Clients' businesses.
Managing Director, Charlie Watson FCCA, founded the business in 2003 after realising the significant losses that companies could make when overpaying suppliers.
Charlie has worked at senior level for high-profile companies in the retail and media and recruitment sectors including as Managing Director for a Virgin Group marketing business (RF Design Group), UK Financial Controller at TMP Worldwide as well as European Financial Controller for Episode Europe and General Manager at Tony Kaye Films. He began his career in traditional audit with BDO Stoy Hayward.
Charlie has overseen the development of the Caatalyst audit programme featuring the implementation of the powerful DATAmine forensic software. His total focus is on recruiting and developing the right team members to ensure the ongoing success of the company as well as finding new areas where Caatalyst can add genuine value to the Client's bottom-line.
All Caatalyst staff are carefully chosen for their good interpersonal skill as well as the required professional and technical abilities. Our team members have a wide range of experience from senior financial accounting positions to extensive experience of both accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
Our philosophy is to make the audit process as painless as possible for the Client whilst achieving the highest possible recoveries. To this end the large majority of our work is carried out at our London Bridge offices. This means that rather than leaving 1 or 2 auditors onsite for months on end using up Client time and resources, our audits receive the full focus of the Caatalyst audit and support team from our own offices whilst minimising disruption for our Client.
